Finding the Artist Within: Applying Arts-Based Approaches in Doing Co-Production

This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to explore how arts-based approaches to co-production can embody experience and foster authentic engagement with equity-deserving groups. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to select two, one-hour workshops that introduce a specific art form (poetry, dance, beading, visual arts). Through small group discussions and activities, workshop leaders will create a space for participants to find the artist within, embracing art as a pathway for self-expression. Participants will collectively reflect on how we can leverage our vulnerabilities and create safe spaces using arts-based approaches when doing co-production.
